Viared, a small society 5km west of Borås, was until the nineteen seventies a blooming agricultural district with the most fertile cultivated field in the neighbourhoods. 

On June 15 1972 , the whole village keeps it’s breathe waiting for the disastrous decision for the village of Viared : city council in Borås confirms a “blocking plan” which implies that the whole village will be levelled with the ground and become an industrial area. 

Two years later 500 people have been compulsory transferred and 87 dwelling houses, 63 barns and 75 outhouses have merciless been burned down to the ground.
